Race to Lough Erne League Positionson Sunday 01 February 2015 - 12:15:31
Finally on Week 3 we have managed to get our team competition the Race to Lough Erne under way and the Cream Eggs had an outstanding week earning 7 points as all four team members played and had great scores. Hot on their heels are five teams who no doubt will be pushing hard over the next two weeks. There is still a lot to play for and it’s important to get out and get playing to help your team. After week five we will have a cut with teams on twelve points or more moving into the Premier League and the rest will battle it out in the Championship.
Winter League Week 3on Sunday 01 February 2015 - 04:28:57
For a time during the previous 2 days it appeared that Saturday’s golf was in jeopardy due to lying snow, but in the end it was a well wrapped up set of relieved players who took to the fairways in a strong, bitterly cold wind. It would almost have been fitting to have arranged a prize for each of the 121 brave souls who ventured had forth.
Snow on the courseon Thursday 29 January 2015 - 11:20:17
The course this morning resembles a beautiful scene on a Christmas Card. These great photographs were captured by our Secretary Manager Muriel Gamble. Nice as the snow appears let us all hope it clears soon so that we can get to play golf!
Who is that in Fulton's window?on Tuesday 27 January 2015 - 10:16:37
If you drive along Queen Street in Lurgan this morning you’ll notice the caricature of a golfer in the old Fulton’s shop window. On closer examination you’ll realise it’s our very own Tom Creaney, a prominent ‘Crazy Gang’ member who can be seen out on the course every Saturday afternoon. The swing in the caricature is almost perfect unlike Tom’s but as to why this is displayed in Fulton’s window no one seems to know? If you know please let us in on the secret....we promise we won’t tell anyone!

Winter League Week 2on Sunday 25 January 2015 - 23:24:23
The week long snow-enforced course closure had left many golfers more keen than ever to return to the fairways and Saturday’s scores showed that neither competitive edge nor golfing ability had been blunted. It was hard to believe the competition was over just 14 holes as it took returns in the high thirties to stand any chance of a prize.
Winter League 2015on Friday 23 January 2015 - 15:50:40
Due to the adverse weather conditions playing havoc last weekend and most of this week we have decided that the team event will now run over the remaining five weeks starting Sunday 25 January (Week 3). The target to get into the ‘Premier League’ and compete for the Race to Lough Erne has been amended to 12 points by the end of Week Five. All teams with less than 12 points will battle it out in ‘The Championship’ for the final two weeks.
The individual weekly prizes remain.
