Gents’ Open Stablefordon Monday 21 July 2014 - 22:37:39
Despite opening yesterday’s round with a double bogey, Nicholas Campbell birdied the 2nd and 4th holes to move him to level par and set him up for victory with 42pts off 10. This performance, coupled with an Exceptional Scoring Reduction, moved his handicap to 7.8 and proud single figure status. If Mark O’Neill’s form of the previous day, when he had 39pts, continues, then the fourball, which also contains Olcan Kearney and Gregory Crawford, will soon have a ‘full house’ of single figure men.

The Senior Foursome's team travelled to Shandon today hoping to secure the point to take them into the semi-final having won 2 1/2 matches at home. Barton Shieldon Sunday 20 July 2014 - 22:13:26
Lurgan's Barton Shield team who, after a great victory over Banbridge this morning, were narrowly defeated by Warrenpoint in today's regional final. The golf throughout all the matches was always of a very high standard, sub par being the norm. So as Captain can I thank the whole team for the great effort and hopefully next year we can go that one step further.
Gerry O’Neill Trophyon Sunday 20 July 2014 - 09:55:35
Saturday’s competition was for the Gerry O’Neill Trophy and 5 players returned 41pts to battle it out for the main prizes. In the end veteran Tom Lamb was to lift one of his biggest ever prizes when he lifted the trophy, off 28, on the back 9. He began with an NR but he need not have worried too much as from then on things just got better and better. The par 3s were the cornerstone of his success as he covered the five holes in 1 under par giving him a huge 17pts and afforded him the luxury of a late triple bogey at the 15th.
